It is desirable for students to discuss capstone project options and ideas with faculty early in the academic program. The senior capstone allows the individual to set goals and objectives and generally have a more complete understanding of the methodology and design of the project. The capstone project is the hallmark of your college career. It should be exhaustive and incorporate all the basic knowledge and practices you have acquired over the period of your study. It establishes that you are ready to apply your learning to a real scenario. A capstone project allows you to show that you have mastered a good amount of subject-area knowledge and that you can independently apply and express this knowledge.

The capstone project is an important research project that proves the ability of a student or beginner to apply the theory to practice, to solve practical problems, to summarize and process the information that he has learned.
