When we have bad and ineffective communication skills, then we will bring failure to the understanding of the other person who is conversing with you. Nor you did not understand you, thus you both feel the plea and distress in the conversation. And with this, it has an impact on many other aspects of life, such as social life, personal life, family life, corporate life, etc. The main point is that being lacking in highly communication skills means that it ruins your life!

Effective communication is one of the keys to making our life run very perfectly. It’s so complicated, though, because there are many factors that can ruin the perfection of the communication process. That is why it is very important for all humans to learn and be more aware of the development and improvement of our communication capacity. Most people still think that the importance of communication skills is on how to dominate the conversation well, but this is very wrong. We cannot have one without the other. Therefore, we must develop effective communication skills in our classroom. It is not only our responsibility but also it is the only way to effectively and responsibly teach problem-solving techniques to the students. In my personal opinion, it is a quality that sets the advanced mathematics student apart from the general student. The advanced student not only takes notes, asks questions, exhibits good organizational skills but is able to clearly and effectively communicate what he has learned through speaking and writing.

In conclusion, the task of developing effective communication skills is central to the teaching of the math curriculum. We must expect the students to master these skills. We should constantly model good communication strategies and provide simple and practical effective techniques while presenting decoy problems to the students. We do a great favor in this process as students do themselves a favor when they learn to solve word problems because word problems are life problems. They are the most challenging kind of problem and in the long run, the most fulfilling to solve. We are doing our students a favor by allowing them to grapple with real-life situations and figure out how to solve problems on their own.
