Along with all of the above analysis, literature has been built to train people individually by reaping aspects. It has to establish the human sense of justice and expose the humanity’s irrational conduct. Similarly the development of the societies is adopting the presented in literature. Literature is not only a mirror but also a unique and autonomous sculpture of reality.

2. Importance of Literature in Society

The social importance of literature is often underestimated and there are few people who believe that its creative importance is higher. This belief is based on the assumption that the former is only a mirror of life, and in turn, that life is nothing but a mirror of the truth. While it is true that history is the main source of the raw material of the literature of history and therefore literature created from it is more real and symbolic literature. It is an obsession of historical facts and events. This fact seems to be obvious, but it is serious and damaging for the true comprehension of the function of literature unless you take the relations and necessary distinctions between the political literature and the history due to its existence and its real function, one is likely to insist that we need such a thing today as “art literature.”

Literature and society are closely related structures. Books often reflect the times they were written in, but because of human stubbornness, they usually come to reflect the times we live in, as well. Literature plays an important and sometimes controversial role on society and communities within its surrounding environment. For generations, literature has been a medium to release our deepest thoughts and opinions. It has allowed those with the structure to withstand the pressures of society and the self to express themselves. Literature has played a role in shaping more than individual politics. Theories from different writers have brought many revolutions in different societies. Literature is a very diverse and rich form of human expression and culture. It has a unique ability and force that can formulate societies.

3. Influence of Literature on Culture

I am new to enjoying literature, so there are going to be many ways that it has shaped who we are and the world. A good artist must be a rebel. Life has had a long battle with the field of art. Art is a state of being in harmony with culture. What do you think art is? Art is a kind of mirror of truth and life. Each of these quotes seems to speak to Dostoevsky who points directly to art and literature. Dostoevsky was ahead of his time and each of these observations connects directly to each of the literary arts. After that, I will provide an example of individuals and the movements who achieved all that they had wanted using a variety of literature forms. In each of these societies, the literary arts contribute towards shaping and changing. There are millions of ways that literature has influenced society, so I am only presenting a few examples to begin and will continue adding to this list in time.

4. Literature as a Tool for Social Change

Ann Heilmann suggests that transformative power with significant potential exists in literary works and literature. By confronting literary works, an individual can pause the steps of modern civilization, glimpse a satire, or cruel darkness background, and then change certain thinking patterns, revealing the truth using literature as a tool for social change.

5. Conclusion

In conclusion, literature is necessary for our society because it is powerful, inspiring and transformative. Literature is the vessel of the wisdom of the past and the present with an urge to define the possibilities of the future. To understand the journey of cultures, literature encompasses the full range of expression from confessional poetry with personal experiences to national histories. Multicultural literature bridges this common ground. It proves that human experiences are universal. The general body of the literature survey proves that multicultural books have an influence on children of all races in grasping an appreciation for and understanding other cultures. Interviewees in both focus group and individual settings emphasized the tremendous influence of the book “Confessions of an Economic Hit Man” and TV programs. These findings point to the fact that access to literature has transformative potential.

Literature and its impact deserve special attention, especially in underrepresented and underprivileged societies.
