Then, we compared it with an example of a review article titled “Zoonotic Leptospirosis on Madura Island: A Neglected Public Health Problem” by the authors Setyawan As and Willy Sandhukhan. This article was taken from the internet from Balai Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kesehatan Sanglah Denpasar. What we sought from this review article was a comprehensive explanation about epidemiology and whether we could understand the beginning interest of epidemiology from this article.

Because we wanted to know the importance of the review article in epidemiology, we must compare it with the original article. We browsed everywhere and used various sources to find the best example of a review article associated with epidemiology. In this occasion, we used an article from Lilienfeld and Stolley (1994) titled “Epidemiology as a Science” that was published in the Journal of Public Health Reviews. This original article was recognized as a useful article for understanding the beginning interest in epidemiology because it provides a simple and comprehensive explanation about epidemiology, similar to when someone starts to learn how to conduct research.

3. Findings and Analysis

E-EL has studied the various ways in which articles are obtained and read, but has not explored how this relates to an article’s review. These individuals will attempt to access the article through library resources or inter-library loan. E-EL has claimed that students often print articles from the web, which can be located using a search at a later time to avoid the peril of a forgotten URL. Print is typically accomplished by students wanting a hard copy of the article or an additional copy for light reading and markup. This differs from the professional, who will print the article directly from the journal source.

If tomorrow’s doctors are not taught to critically analyze evidence, inefficient or even harmful practices will be directly passed on to the patient. From a student’s point of view, writing an article review enhances one’s critical thinking skills and reinforces their ability to draw conclusions based on evidence. It is important for students to decipher the credibility of the scientific article in question.
