The introduction is the initial part of your research project, and it is where the aim of your research is explained. First impressions are always important, and the same is true for your project, as it will set the tone and expectations for the rest of your work. I will search for the sources using Google Scholar and library database. To search for sources in Google Scholar, I will type my topic in the search box. Then I will click on the search icon and look for possible sources. If I use library database, I will go to the main library home page. Then, I will choose a subject to start my research. After that, I will select a database that is related to my subject. I will then use search terms to find the sources. While writing literature review, it is also important to highlight the paragraphs. I can use different colours to represent the supporting sentences. For example, the first sentence should be a thesis sentence. I can put it as orange. Then, the supporting sentences should be in red. The conclusion sentences should be in green. The colour coding can help to make sure each paragraph is well-organized. Then, I know I have to list down all the citations. I need to remember that it is important to cite the references and put the citations in correct places.
The methodology employed in the study was a mixed method. A questionnaire and interview approach was used. Semi-structured interviews were particularly useful in a study of this nature where the interviewees were asked to reflect upon different aspects of a given phenomenon. The use of this type of interview is expected to strike a better balance between the data’s reliability and validity because the researcher showed a degree of flexibility while still maintaining the consistency of approach. The researcher believed the mixed method could help to overcome the weakness of purely qualitative or quantitative data analysis as well as their associated research strategy – for example, purely qualitative studies may lack the ability to identify causal relationships and quantitative studies produce data in the form of numbers or statistics only.
